Sex after menopauseᅠand its importance to a mature couple’s satisfaction with their relationship may be rated much differently than women and the men who love them. A new international, global study that included more than 1,000 couples from the United States, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Spain, found that tenderness is more important to men than to women overall. Also it was reported that men are more likely to admit to being happy in their relationship, but women are more likely to be satisfied with the sexual part of their partnerships as they view it over time. Sex after menopause can be a lovely thing.

Sex after menopause can be more satisfying to both partners if closeness and intimacy come first. For men, this means lots of cuddling, hugging, holding each other and kissing. Surprisingly, women of the same age group did not rate this kind of contact as highly as their men. Still, at this stage of the game, being in a long term relationship with one partner is rated high by men and women alike.

Another important finding: men were much more likely to be satisfied in a relationship if they felt healthy. So it might be helpful for women to direct their men to information on male menopause. Obviously, physical health is essential to overall happiness.
